Drawing inspiration from popular styles of the 1940s, including charm and ID bracelets, the 1947 Collection brings these silhouettes together with elements from our sisterhood to create timeless staples that celebrate the rich history of our illustrious sorority and our beloved Gamma Iota chapter. 10% of sales from this collection were donated to the DeSTined For Excellence Award that was awarded in 2022.
Josephine Bernice Lightfoot (m. Whitsett), known in our family as "Aunt Jo," was initiated into the Gamma Iota chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, on the charter line in 1947. She was a phenomenal woman who lived an abundant life - rooted in faith, dedicated to family and committed to service - and was adored by all who knew her. She was very special to our family, and I dedicate this collection to her... With all of my love.
